B-Side Entertainment is a specialty distributor of independent films based in Austin, TX. Our technology powers the online communities for IFC and more than 50 independent film festivals.

b-side is a new online marketplace for independent films. In plain English, it's a website designed for filmmakers to sell DVDs and digital downloads of their films directly to people who are looking for great independent movies. We keep our costs low so we can give you a fair share of every single sale.

We have spent the last two years building online communities for IFC and more than 50 independent film festivals. After spending all that time marketing independent films to festival audiences, we learned a lot about how to connect filmmakers and film fans.

From that experience, we found that the best way to help people discover new films is 1) let the films speak for themselves through video excerpts (trailers, selected scenes, etc), and 2) make it easy for people to share their thoughts and recommend films to eachother.
