We'll deduct that price from your purchase off the DVD if you decide to buy it. Or if you want the higher res download later on, the amount you already spent on the low res download counts toward the upgrade.
This offer doesn't expire. We're not going to make you pay extra for figuring out that you love one of our movies so much that you want the DVD or high res download. That's just how we roll.

We never want you to feel ripped off when you buy something on B-Side. It's that simple. We came up with the idea that the purchase of a download is like a down payment on a DVD - that you'll never have to spend extra on a film just because you bought the download first - because we think it's the right way to do business.
Trying to get every last penny out of you is not our thing. Helping you find (and buy) great movies is.
John Keel's passion was cars; and the cars he loved above all others were hearses. He adored them. He studied them. He was enamored with the remarkable craftsmanship that went into making one of these oft-neglected pieces of automotive Americana. And by the time John was fifteen he was considered by many members of The Professional Car Society (a group dedicated to the restoration and preservation of vintage hearses) to be North America’s greatest expert on hearses. By age sixteen John had memorized the entire catalog of every U.S.-made hearse ever built and had begun working on a comprehensive history of the American hearse. By the age of eighteen John Keel was dead, the cause of his death still a mystery.

It IS $7.99 if you buy a DVD quality download. It's only $5 more for the actual DVD, you cheap bastard! If you're so worried about money, buy the $2.99 version for your iPod, that is, if you have one. Posted Jan. 30, 2008 at 7:38PM |

I greatly enjoyed the film and felt a real connection to John through his mother and friends. I work in the Midland area therefore his story is sort of a legend among "hearse folk" around here. Posted Jan. 25, 2008 at 11:06AM |

If this film is an extension of the article appearing in Car & Driver a few years ago, it promises to be worth waiting for. The story of a young man who lived a life immersed in the world of hearses and who, by all accounts was a decidedly "non- normal" person, even at such a young age. The magazine article itself was truly riveting account, which I re-read over and over. I cannot wait to get my copy of this video. I think it will be one of those documentories which tell a story that is not all you think it will be at first glance, but the reality of his life really serves to get you thinking. I am so glad this story is being told. John truly was one of a kind. Posted Jan. 01, 2008 at 1:42AM |

Someone at A&E Networks needs to broadcast this very touching story. I also read the Car & Driver article, and to my amazement, it was updated and gave me this website to see the 10 minute version. I am touched. We have enough negative going on in the world. Some of us would love to see a basic human, showing grounded qualities missing in our everyday world. This isn't about death, this is about LIFE. -Dave, Flagstaff AZ
