Unicorn Pride is a short documentary about the Texas town of New Braunfels. Its community claims to be the only high school in the nation with a Unicorn mascot. They're so proud of their unicorns, every school in the town has it as their mascot.

Fanatical faculty, proud parents and tradition-conscious students take their dedication of the Unicorn to another level. The whole Unicorn community comes together every week for those Friday night lights. Mystical Creature or not: Unicorn Pride is justified.

I really enjoyed this film. It's like... I can see how people that are "too cool" for high school football and small town living will find "Unicorn Pride" totally HILARIOUS. And I can also see how people that are totally into high school football and small town living will find the film to be a complementary, intimate portrait of good old-fashioned team spirit and, well, pride! And you know something... I appreciated it from both angles. Did he REALLY just say that?! Pass the cornbread! I want to be a Unicorn.
