Run time: 140 min. | USA | Language: English
Growing up in Montana, Rachel (Zoë Poledouris, Down and Out with the Dolls) and Tommy (Bret Roberts, Nightstalker, Cock and Bull Story) were more than best friends -- they were soulmates. But in high school they experience a violent, tragic event that severs their ties. Years later, Rachel sees Tommy's face as a bit actor on a rented video, which reawakens all that she tried to keep buried deep inside for so many years. She sets out to find Tommy, and together they embark on an uneasy journey home through the vast winter landscape of Montana, straight in to the wounds of the past. An official selection to the 2003 Sundance Film Festival, White of Winter also features a score composed and performed by Zoë Poledouris, who in addition to her dramatic work as Rachel, breathes life into a lush, eclectic soundtrack. An emotionally charged drama, it’s an experience you won’t soon forget.
