The Boy Who Loved Hearses
Nicholas Kalikow 2006 | Documentary, Feature
While my mom took me to dance classes, this dedicated mother took her son to professional cars meets. The love between mother and son is something anyone can relate to, but the formula is different. This kid was not normal, but misjudged on his quirkiness. He found his niche with the car enthusiasts. The shots of the professional cars made me want a 1968 Superior Cadillac Rescuer Ambulance. One downside, there are a lot of "talking heads" interviews, but the characters are compelling enough to keep you watching.

Infidel
Peter O'Keefe 2006 | Drama, Feature
The lead actor was pretty good (the main hitman) and some of the visuals were kinda interesting, but it just wasn't for me. If you like El Evangelista or "Touched by an Angel," then you would probably like this film.

Trevor's In Heaven
Alec Brownstein 2006 | Comedy, Shorts
The short starts out as one of those sappy war films that's supposed to pull at your patriotism strings and get you to enlist... and then it turns into a hysterical dying wishes story about the soldier's dysfunctional family. I could have this on loop and not get tired of it. It's comedy gold!
