The Boy Who Loved Hearses
Nicholas Kalikow 2006 | Documentary, Feature
I wanted to see more about the cars, and the subculture that loves them. That being said, this is a great story about a kid who found something he was truly passionate about and dedicated his young life to exploring that world.

Trevor's In Heaven
Alec Brownstein 2006 | Comedy, Shorts
I saw this at the Austin Film Festival as part of the comedy shorts program. For the first part of the short, I definitely thought I was in the wrong venue... I think stejawat nailed it on the head when he talked about the intersection of awkward situations making this short insanely funny. The entire audience was practically falling out of their (uncomfortable) chairs when this screened!

What is INDIE?
Dave Cool | Documentary, Feature, Music
This film literally answers the question... "What is Indie?" The film itself runs less than 50 minutes (and answers the question without being too verbose), but the DVD is PACKED with special features. From full length interviews to lists of resources for indie artists, to a great blooper reel. I definitely recommend getting the DVD of this film to get the whole experience.
